I understand the weekly cap, and I have no problem with it being implemented. Its harder for some people to get on everyday.
But I liked the daily cap, I could always hit my cap in 1-2 hours of just messing around. Plus, it gave me time to really toy with my bulid and tweak it depending on how well it did witj my current skills. Also, I have a feeling I will slack off (because I'm stupid and will forget to level up) and almost never hit the weekly cap.
Aw well, minor grapes. I think the weekly cap will workout great for most...as long as diminished returns don't...return. |

Anywho...after the first wave of mild annoyance I realized what a benefit this would be to someone such as myself who doesn't play every day, or feel forced to play every day.
In other words; a daily cap would feel like a chore to me...instead of playing because I wanted to or for fun, it becomes a matter of...Well, I better play today...don't want to lose my daily SP.
Of course....that's just my mindset and I wouldn't have felt an urge (or won't) to post hate messages against it when the problem was/is in my own I agree, it can feel like something you have to do and may become annoying in the future.
And @R F Gyro, it does seem like a more short term solution. Your idea could work, but I think it works against people who can't play very often. I can get on almost everyday, but for others its hard. And it still doesn't solve the new player gap (except they could play through and work which would cloee the gap a bit.)
I think the hard cap should be removed completely for new players up to, lets just say a million for example then they get the same cap we have. You could even put a time limited if you want, maybe 1-2 weeks.
Honestly, I have no problem with the system as it is now and the weekly increase. I just wanna see new players get a small bonus. |
